Evan Longoria Is A Ray

The title explains everything.  Due to injuries, including one to the hamstring of Willy Aybar (who wasn’t off to a bad start), the Rays had little choice but to call up Evan Longoria from AAA Durham, where he was hitting .136 and rebounding from an 0-for-14 start.  I think he can be an instant boost in attendance and, provided he adjusts well, the offense.  The entire team is doing back handsprings at the thought of having him up here, and after all the hype, maybe that should be the case.  We’ll find out as Joe Maddon plans to start him this weekend against Baltimore.  (Nice series opener, by the way.)  Until I upload those home opener pictures, go Rays.
